Fusion #2 - Flower Bouquet

I hope you are having a great weekend!  Lots going on at our house -  and YES my Christmas trees are still up!  Thank goodness they are artificial.   I'm going to have to get cracking on that this weekend.  Did I ever tell you that one year that was my Valentine's Day present?   Oh well... the sparkling lights  are fun and I can just tell the neighbors I'm having a party!  HAHA!  I don't think they'll believe me either.  Just sayin'.   It's cold here too!  Good thing I can make my very own flower garden any time I like.  (Another advantage to crafting!)

Have you played at Fusion yet?   I think I'm hooked.  You get a photo inspiration and a sketch design.  You can follow the sketch OR be inspired by the photo... or yes.. you can even FUSE the two together.  That's exactly what I did with this one.  I thought I'd mimic that beautiful bouquet so  I layered rolled roses, and flowers on a wood grain background.  My bling?  Because of course I HAVE to have a little right?  It's the button flower centers.
Thanks for stopping by to have a look!  Have a great day!

  2. You blow my mind. You're like the goddess of paper crafting. Your rolled roses are truly THE BEST. Gorgeous work with this groovy new place I've never heard of, but will research ASAP when I'm done here! Love that you used a musical score sheet for the leaves. That's perfect and that black button center is wonderful looking!

  15. This blew me away...those are beautiful feathers...can't believe you roll them yourself. You HAVE to make a video doing it. Do you use hot glue on the bottom? How do you keep them from unrolling too much? You just captured the photo so well and I love the big rick rack strip along the bottom.

  20. Jeanne, I've been meaning to drop by ever since you first published this STUNNINGLY BEAUTIFUL card! I still haven't picked my jaw up off the ground. Wow! Super gorgeous work!

Is your tree down yet? My Christmas tree is still up. One year (a long time ago, before kids) my husband and I were so lazy about it that it was a week before Easter when we finally admitted we'd left it up way too long, LOL! :-)
