Ribbon Reel Eerie Elegance

Every other Monday there is a new Ribbon Reel Challenge.  If you love trims and embellishments, if the words satin, organza, grosgrain, velvet and lace make you swoon - you need to check out The Ribbon Reel Challenge.  I got to choose the theme this week  - "Eerie Elegance".  You are kindly asked to use black and purple to make a Halloween inspired project - oh yes! please add some ribbon too!  I thought this photo would be sure to inspire - lots of good things here. ....   pennants, gems, feathers, labels ... run with whatever strikes you!

I love Halloween and something about the contrast of spooky and elegant always seems to captivate me.  I made this pretty tag to dress up a gift.  The witch is stamped on patterned paper, cut with an oval die and layered on top of a fancy die cut oval.  I made one bow with netting, and topped it with a smaller lavender one.  I hot glued a button in the center of the bow and topped it with an adhesive pearl. The bitty tag is threaded with black button twine and hangs loose around the bow.  I found an elegant spray of crystals  in the floral department that I tucked under the bow and hot glued in place - you can see it better in the close up.
I hope you will join us for some spooky fun.  If you are needing a little more inspiration here are links to the rest of the DT who are ready to share!
Happy crafting and have a great day!
