CASE Study #150 - Sew Nice

Hello my crafty friends! Are these the lazy days of summer or what? I know.... NOT!!! Seems like there is always some running around to do isn't there? I hope you are staying up late, catching some rays, grilling out, and yes... even appreciating those lightning bugs at night. Aren't they amazing? I am still like a kid - just fascinated by their blinky ability - maybe that is what started my obsession with Bling? Just imagine ... life before video games... we used to spend hours in the summer catching them in a big jar. When it was time to go inside we would open the jar and watch them all fly away!

I guess I should get down to business now... Here is the inspiration photo this week for CASE Study.  Our muse this month is Jocelyn Olson from Red Balloon Cards Blog!  I don't know if you can see where my inspiration came from here or not.   I thought it was neat how the colors on Jocelyn's card overlapped and tried to think of a way I could stamp this.  Instead I grabbed colors in the same family that are close to each other.  My sentiment is placed on  top of squares of color vs the flower petals on Jocelyn's design.  So what do you see?  How will you make this a one of a kind you creation?  You can take this one any direction it moves you to!

Here are links to the design team if you're looking for a little more inspiration.

  3. I see your inspiration perfectly...love those cute patchwork squares and love how much thought you put into this one. I love that you didn't just stamp a bunch of overlapping squares...the idea to use colors of the same family. Great idea.
