TSTR#172 Summer Breeze

This is my last week as guest designer at The Shabby Tea Room.  I had lots of fun in the spotlight - it was a real treat to join the Shabby Girls and play along!  You really have to play along if you love roses and ribbons and all things shabby chic!  I am always delighted by the creations I see displayed there.

Here's the inspiration photo for this week.  You are instructed to use the colors in the photo and to add a fabric element.  I stuck  with my June wedding theme for my card because it's a great excuse to pull out some flowers and fancy trims.    This image is so elegant but at the same time there is something more carefree and casual about it.  I think it is the groom with his knee bent.  I decided to keep it dressy but not over the top formal and elegant.

For my fabric element I took a 12 x 12" sheet of burlap and trimmed a 2" length with pinking shears.  I roughly hand stitched the straight edge and then pulled the ends together to form a rosette.   I left just a bit of the thread hanging from the rosette, and  topped it with a resin embellishment.
Have a great day and see you at The Shabby Tea Room!

Jeanne
