Ribbon Reel - Challenge #41 Crochet

I had a quiet day yesterday - I took Binkie in to get spayed bright and early and while sitting near the phone waiting and worrying I tried to keep my hands and mind busy creating.   I know today will be spent mostly by her side making sure she is comfortable and has whatever she needs.

Today I'm playing along with the Ribbon Reel Challenge.  I had to play when I saw this inspiration photo and the theme "Crochet".  When I started making cards I asked my mom to make me some flowers whenever she has a little extra thread or yarn after finishing one of her projects.  This works out great because I have a hand full in all sorts of different colors and textures.  I always give her the cards I make that have her flowers on them so she can mail them to her friends and family .  I don't have to wonder if she will like this one - she always has a kind word - after all she is my biggest fan!  Nothing tricky on this card - I just put a pearl brad in the center of the flower and mounted it on a few die cuts.  To tie the theme all together I used a crochet pattern paper by Crate Paper and added some pretty lace trims and a bitty sentiment tag.

I hope you have time to play - The Ribbon Reel is having a call out for new design team members too - so you might want to check it out!  Have  a great day and thanks for stopping by!
