Waltzingmouse Christmas Card Challenge - July 2012

Have you been keeping up with your Waltzingmouse Christmas Card Challenge resolution?     All you had to do was make one Christmas card a month!!  So easy right?!!  I know it's easy to put it on the back burner and I will confess that I've been slipping too.   Well the good news is that it's never too late to get caught up!  The half way prize has already been awarded, but the year end prize will be even better - and you can't win if you don't play!  So let me fill you in on the details for this month.....
The challenge for July is to make a card that features the color ORANGE.    Sounds a bit odd... orange for Christmas???   Well all you need is a starting point and then there's  nothing to it.    I began with this pretty paper from Authentique and the rest sort of came together by itself.  It amazed me too!!! Orange looks pretty good!!
Thanks for having a look!  I'm looking forward to seeing what you create for this interesting Christmas challenge!  You can get all the details on the forum here.

  1. What a bright and beautiful Christmas card. I would have been intimidated by Orange, but you showed how to do it right. That ornament is such a beautiful and classic image, and looks great with all those layers.

  2. I love the non traditional colors Jeanne. What a refreshing Christmas card. I actually looked at the Christmas challenges a month ago and thought about getting my halfway cards done but then life happened. I'm glad you reminded me and hopefully you'll see some Christmas cards soon. Thanks for the inspiration I always find here. Beautiful card!!!

  8. Okay, it's decided. I'm throwing out ALL my Christmas decorations and getting orange and blue...it's final! :D These colors freakin' rock. LOOOOVE what you've designed here Jeanne. The orange is so warm and inviting just like a fireplace where little stockings are hung. Beautiful card chica.
    Hugs 2 you,

  14. LOVE the layers and you did an awesome job with the orange challenge! I think non-traditional colors are such fun. The paper with a touch of aqua looks fabulous and that is the coolest die cut behind the ornament. You are doing so well with the Christmas challenges. I have gotten so terribly far behind!
