WMSC #95 - Tea Party

Spring has definitely "sprung" here!  It's supposed to reach the 80's today and my garden is reaching it's full flower potential.  So many beauties... Iris, Azalea, Clematis, Columbine, Lilly of the valley... even my blueberries  and blackberries have flowers!   I can't wait to start planting  vegetables and annual flowers!

WMSC95Today I'm playing along with the Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge.  This week's design is by Karin Åkesdotter.  All those flowers got me thinking about having some friends over for a visit in the yard.  I don't know how well that would go over with the new puppy - I could see her buried under a tablecloth and broken china, but I decided on a  tea party invite complete with a tiny layered tea cup cut from some pretty glittery paper.  I wanted to make it really feminine  - just what you'd expect for an invitation to tea right?  So I added a lacy border, fancy cut doily and some beautiful roses.  I couldn't resist a big bow and the sweet little "tea time" tag..

I hope you are taking time to notice all the flowers popping up everywhere!   Thanks for having a look - have a beautiful day!  And please, stop to smell the flowers!!  You will be glad you did!
Jeanne

We're enjoying our blooms here too! The previous owners of our house planted a ton of flowering plants and now we're enjoying the roses, rhododendrons, azaleas, and lilacs. Hope you have a wonderful weekend Jeanne!
