Waffle Flower May Release Sneak Peeks Day 3 - Quilted Hugs

It's Day 3 of the Waffle Flower New Release Sneak Peeks. The release will be available in the store TOMORROW! Today we're sharing peeks of the new Quilted Hugs die - that's the one in the background on my card today.

The Quilted Hugs die coordinates with a stencil set so you can ink it in your favorite colors to create a patchwork quilt on paper. I added shades of green and aqua blue on mine.

I topped the stenciled design with a die cut Quilted Frame and an Inside/Outside Scalloped Circle. This creates a focal point for the new Fabric Lover Die N Stencil kitty!

To soften the background behind the cat I added a piece of vellum. This makes the kitty stencil brighter than the muted background.

Waffle Flower May Sneak Peeks Day 2 - Tiny Squares

It's Day Two of the latest Waffle Flower release that we're calling Quilted Hugs. Today we're sharing projects featuring the new Tiny Squares Texture Plate. I think this one is going to become a new favorite for you stitchers out there!

The Tiny Squares Texture plate cuts a quilt pattern into your cardstock, next you stencil a design. There are several available this release. I used the new Quilted Floral design - it reminds me of a quilt my grandmother had on the bed in her guest bedroom.

I topped the background with a Quilted Frame Die to add more color and add more stitching detail to the design.

The sentiment is from the Quilted Hug stamp set. YES! There is a coordinating die set so you can cut out the sentiments easily. I thought a few stacked hearts would make the perfect focal point for the sentiment filled with love.

Waffle Flower May Release Sneak Peeks Day 1 - Love You Sew Much Postage Collage

It's a great day for a visit because today's the first day of sneak peeks of the new Waffle Flower Release that we're calling Quilted Hugs!

Waffle Flower May 2025 release is a quilting and sewing-themed collection of 4 stamps, 14 dies, and 7 stencils! Besides the adorable new stencil for PC, other highlights are:

• Large silhouette dies for both dog and cat
• Happy Birthday Stamp Set & Piercing Matching Die – Our first sentiment set with piercing borders that coordinates well with our Piercing Layers dies.
• Three new Piercing Texture Dies – Cross-hatch, Meandering & Clamshell.

The Postage Collage series has been so popular and I love seeing new additions to it. This one features lots of sewing embellishments that are perfect for the crafters in your life.

I love adding more colors using Waffle Flower detail brushes and backgrounds and stripes with the previously released Postage Collage Coloring stencil.

There's also a coordinating mini stamp set so you can add sewing details and sentiments to your stamps.

You & Me!

I hope you're getting out and seeing all the flowers blooming this time of year! In my area I'm spying Tulips, Daffodils, Lilacs, and Tulip Trees. The fruit trees are also in bloom and they're blanketing the sidewalks with showers of petals.

Yes! I adore flowers! That's probably why I'm so smitten with Pretty Little Studio. Almost all of their collections have a gorgeous set of floral die cuts to embellish your projects yet. These pretties are from the You Are My Sunshine Collection.

This collection has all the extras. I really love the mixed paper packs - prints, clear, vellum, and collage sheets that look like they're pieced together, but are actually printed. This one has a mix of flowers and newsprint.

I used a journaling card to create a focal point for the blooms. Faux clear sticker stitches in black keep your eyes on the flowers. The pops of black from the stickers, sentiment and scallop border bring it all together with bold contrast.

Dance In The Puddles!

Today I'm playing at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge where this time it's Whatever The Weather. I'm going with some rainy day fun with the Pink & Main April Mouse stamp set!

The images are clean line design and easy to color. The coordinating die set makes it easy to cut the detailed design. If you look close you can see how it cuts around the raindrops.

I made a gatefold card with the new Shutter Card Die Set. I confess that making special fold cards always seems complicated to me, but with this die set it came together quick and easy. The cut patterned paper fits perfectly on the folded design and there are other dies to change the style of the card.

I mounted the little April Mouse on stacked circles.. scallops, zig zags and nested stitched circles for a fun layered look.

Paper Hugs

I hope you're having a great day! I was sad to see the weekend go. We got lots of yardwork done - mostly mulching and removing debris from last season. Today I'm playing along at Make My Monday where we're celebrating Things With Wings. I'm also linking up to Just Us Girls Challenge where this time it's all about STENCILS!

If you love butterflies AND stencils this one is for you. This is the Waffle Flower Postage Collage Spring Breeze Stencil. I inked the butterflies in Distress Ink shades of yellow, and the flowers in pink and orange. I love the drama the black ink adds to the colorful background.

Once my panel was inked I cut it with the A2 Lacy Layers Die Set. This set includes alternating layers of pierced scallops and stitched rectangles that are nested so they fit perfectly inside each other.

The sentiment is from the Waffle Flower Paper Hugs Sentiments that has a coordinating die set that makes cutting them a breeze. I love the mixed font sentiments and how the die cuts the outline of the words.
