Felt Cheeky Apple

Today I'm breaking away from my normal cards and sharing a felt stitched project featuring the new Spellbinders Cheeky Apple. If you haven't seen the stitched dies from Spellbinders they're definately worth a look!

I cut the pieces using my die cut machine and then stitched them together. The die set includes the leaves, flower, stem and even arms and legs if you wanted to turn the apple into a character. Spellbinders offers felt sheets, but I love the Merino Felt Rolls from the Felt Pod. You can select just the colors you want and the quality is exceptional.

I hope you'll give the stitched dies a try. I was able to do this in a few hours and turned it into a magnet for the fridge. I smile every time I see it, because it is adorable and it was something I wasn't sure I'd be able to do! I'm sure glad I tried!

My card features the new Three Flamingos die cut set! They're easy to cut and assemble and there is very little waste because you can alternate the colors of the bodies and wings. After I cut these I had SIX flamingos and made two cards!

To set the scene I added some foliage from the Greenhouse Pop Up, and some water with the Waves and Scallops border die set.

Let's Shell-ebrate!

Today I'm playing along at Crazy is Our Fame, Stencils Are Our Game! If you love stencils then this is the place for you! This time the theme is Summer Fun and for me that means a trip to the beach!

My card features all Waffle Flower Crafts products. I started with the Seashell Frame Die Cut that I inked with the coordinating stencil set. The die cuts the lacy outline of pretty seashells and anchors. It also includes the seashell in the center of my design.

After I inked the frame I layered it over a Cross Hatched Texture Cover Plate. It's the peachy diamond pierced background.

I added a big sticker brad to the center of the shell to look like a big shiny pearl! The sentiment is from the Coastal Greetings Stamp Set. The coordinating die set adds a pierced design along the edge of the cut so everything is coordinated.
