With August just around the corner I'm starting to feel summer coming to an end and I haven't made it to the beach yet. I'll try harder to make that happen but for today I'll make my own beach in my craft room.
My background scene is created with soft blue cardstock topped with sandy waves cut with the Waffle Flower Wavy Borders. I inked in some spots with alcohol markers and then stamped the sentiment directly on the background.
Beach umbrellas are inked in rainbow colors. The Beach Umbrella Die N Stencil set includes a stencil, but I used post it notes to mask off each color and then ink it with Distress Ink.I love the bright rainbow colors! I added little white enamel dots in the center of each umbrella to add a little shine.
The finishing touch is a scatter of little seashells in bright colors because I can't go to the beach without picking up shells, glass or pretty rocks to put in my pocket.
I hope you find some time to play! ... And make it to the beach this summer!Finished Size: 4.25 x 5.5"
