Pretty Pink Posh 10th Birthday Hop!


Are you ready to hop on board?  We're celebrating 10 YEARS of Pretty Pink Posh with a Birthday Hop!  If you're hopping along  you should have reached me from Christina Rannow's blog. If you want to get all the details, you'll find them here at the Pretty Pink Posh blog.
This is day 2 of a 5 day hop so there's lots to see!  I made this fun birthday cake card with the new  Interactive Cake die.  The card colors were inspired by the colors on the 10 year birthday badge I saw on the Pretty Pink Posh blog! 

I'm usually gravitating to brights so the navy in this was a bit out of my comfort zone but I'm really happy with how this one turned out.
My "tablecloth" is made of Stitched strips that I adhered to a panel of cardstock covered with sticky tape.  The background is the new Dot Circles that I added with gold glitter texture paste.  I thought they paired well with the dots on the cake icing. 
The Interactive Cake die is fantastic!  It includes lots of accessory pieces including cake toppers (candles or intertwined hearts), and frosting options (flowers, pearls, hearts, swag).  I added the pearl edging and then colorful pearls on top.
Did you notice the little "PULL" tag?  That's included too!  I added a gift card as a special surprise.  The card was longer than the bottom portion of the cake so I added the "striped tablecloth" with adhesive foam tape so that it slides in behind the raised portion. 
I added a few extras like the flowers and candy from an older set - the Valentine Mug Additions.  A simple sentiment from the new Sentiment Strips Birthday is stamped right on the cake itself.   A bit of sprinkles was thrown on last - those are from the new Big Birthday Cupcake!
