Folk Art Tree Shaker

Hi Friends! I hope you're having a great day! The weather is turning cold here and I'm seeing signs of fall everywhere. We must have had at least 50 Robins in the yard which tells me that they're on the move to warmer places.
Today I'm playing along with Shopping Our Stash Weekly Challenge where this time they're asking you to incorporate a shaker element. I do love a shaker, but sometimes they add ALOT of bulk to your card making them expensive to mail and I always worry about them getting damaged. My card today features a FLAT shaker.
I started with the Waffle Flower Pop Up Tree die that I inked with the coordinating Duo Tone Trees coordinating stencil.
I made the shaker with an oval cut from gold foil and then backed with vellum. Next I added some sequins to the card base and then adhered the oval flat to the card base. This makes the shaker flat. The vellum softens the bright gold shiny sequins and also the background so that the die cut tree takes the center stage.
I added a tree die cut to the oval. The tree has a background die that lets the background peek through the openings in the tree, but I added some inlay pieces to add some color to the design.
One more holiday card made is always a score any time of year and this one is a knock out! I hope you find some time to play!
