Winter Cardinals

Today I'm playing at the As You Like It Challenge where they're looking for Christmas! I've been making LOTS of those so YES! of course I want to play along!

This card starts with a Waffle Flower Random Dots hot foil on an aqua card base. I topped the panel with an Oversized Merry Christmas foil sentiment adhered with adhesive foam tape. The tape raises the sentiment making it easy to tuck foliage underneath and adhere them to the card base.

The bigger leaves are from the Treat Bag die set that comes with a flower and foliage. The pine and sweet birds are from the Layered Winter Bird die set.

The birds are easy to assemble. The body is cut from an orange red. I attached a mask cut from black cardstock, bitty beak and feet cut from yellow, and a darker red wing to assemble.

The smaller strip sentiment is also from the Oversized Merry Christmas set. This angled photo really shows the shine from the gold on this card.

Being a birder I really love the cardinals on this card - I love spotting them in the bare winter woods - so bright!!    Have a great day!
