Simple Stories Hearth & Holiday

Here comes Santa Claus!  If you love the Christmas season then this collection is for you!  

I’m always excited to see the holiday collections from Simple Stories. I love that they always have more than one collection so I can choose the one that best represents me and my style. This collection seems so appropriately named Hearth & Holiday because it has a “home for the holidays” theme.

You’ll find embellishments that have you thinking of your family traditions – whether it’s a family heirloom that comes out once a year, setting out cookies for Santa or getting together to gift wrap. It’s all about time at home with family enjoying the season!

I like to have decorations tucked in unexpected places so that every room is filled with some holiday cheer.

This collection has all the extras you’ve come to expect from Simple Stories. You’ll find chipboard, decorative brads, enamel dots, washi and THREE sets of die cut, printed bits and pieces.

I like to use the Journaling Bits & Pieces to create focal points for my designs. Next I layer on the Holiday and Floral Bits and Pieces. Chipboard images are great for adding some depth and texture.

I use Color Vibe solid cardstock for layering on my designs and breaking up the patterned papers.

Once I’m happy with my designs, the frosting on top is always the washi, decorative brads, and enamel dots. Who doesn’t love a little bling?
