Halloween is my favorite holiday and I love sending out cards to EVERYONE! Special treat bags are set to the side for the neighbors’ kids and when my own were little there was always something special for all the kids in their class.
My card today features the Pretty Pink Posh Monster Hugs stamp set. I love these non traditional images because they stand out from all the others.. AND.. I know I’ll be using these all year round for kids birthday cards too! The accent pieces – the candy, stars and moon – are from the Halloween Wreath set. Do you see the monster holding the lollipop? All of the images are colored with Copic Markers.
I layered the die cut monsters on a Distress Oxide inked background. Adding stripes of color adds depth and dimension to the design. I applied Salty Ocean where I wanted to place the sentiment so the ink is a little lighter there. Blueprint Sketch finishes off the evening sky. The grassy forefront is inked in Cracked Pistachio, Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn. The panel is splattered with water, watered down Blueprint Sketch and white Ink.
I colored and cut a big stack of these little guys so I know that all of my tags and card are going to come together quick so I can share loads of Monster Hugs! I hope you love them too! I'm linking up to the This is Halloween Challenge where every day is Halloween!
What a fun card and so cute!
