I hope that your Summer is off to a good start and that you have some plans for travel if you have the means. Maybe a road trip to the ocean is in your future! We just got back from South Carolina and I highly recommend a trip to the beach.

There really is nothing like walking in the sand, breathing in the salty ocean air, and exploring the tidal pools. It’s a great way to recharge your batteries. Gas prices are high but you can get where your going with a little patience and a few fill ups.

Even if you’re not travelling I’d recommend the Simple Vintage Vintage Seas Collection. It’s a sweet escape in a pack of pretty papers. I love the nautical images… sailboats, sea creatures, lighthouses, coral, kelp and seashells.

The collection is perfect for summer in shades of Red, White and Blue. The paper prints feature nets, seaweed, stripes and waves!

The sentiments are perfectly punny and well suited for these nautical cards. I couldn’t resist using as many of the crabs as I could find because that is my nick name for Mr. J. He’s my little crab. He always complains until we get there and then he’s happy as a clam!

Of course Simple Stories has all the extras for this collection including Basics sold cardstock papers. I like to use them to add layers and to break up the prints when things get a little busy. You’ll also find chipboard, enamel dots, printed die cut bits and pieces, washi, decorative brads and so much more.

We usually meet up with other family members on our trips to the coast and I know they’ll love these note cards that will remind them of our adventures as we look back with great memories and look forward to our next visit.
