I'm in a flower mood lately and honestly they just lift my spirits. I can't wait for the garden center to fill up with baskets and flats and to dig out my garden gloves and get to work.
Today I'm playing along at Stamps and Fun - Creativity Challenge where they're asking for your favorite flower. That's a tough one. I love them all for different reasons.. mostly because they remind me of different people and places in time. I love iris because they remind me of paintings from Van Gogh and Georgia O'Keefe, I love roses because they're romantic, and I love peony because they remind me of spring days spent in my Grandma's back yard. These pretties are from Waffle Flower and they're called Elegant Flowers. I colored mine with Copic Markers. I like to color each petal one color - no shading - for a stained glass look.
The background is garden green cardstock topped with an Elegant Frame. This is a three die set - I used only the outer frame for the fancy corners.
The sentiment is from the Personal Sentiments stamp set. The stamp set coordinates with a mini envelope and mini card for smaller gift cards.
Thanks for stopping by and play along if you get a chance. Leave me a comment and let me know what your favorite flower is and why.
