January Countdown to Confetti Day 1 Love Bugs, Valentine Sentiments, Big Heart Sentiments

Love is in the air and there's a new Reverse Confetti release just around the corner! I hope you'll join me today - January 4 - January 8 as I join the Confetti crew and share

Today we're showing peeks of Love Bugs, Valentine Sentiments and Big Heart Sentiments. All the projects will be available for purchase on January 8 when we'll celebrate with a blog hop with more ideas and projects made with the new release.

  

My first card is made with the Love Bugs stamp set. There are lots of cute little insects in this set - I couldn't fit them all on my card - there's also a pretty butterfly I didn't use.

The images are great for cards or how about gift tags for school treats? I think they'll be cute to use all year round because I think we all have a little love bug in our lives.

The background is a Stitched Scallops cover panel inked with five shades of distress ink in ombre reds/pinks and green.

My second card starts with the new Postal Cover Panel die cut. I masked off the outer edges of the stamp stitched die cut and stamped Big Heart Sentiments in Pink, Purple and Orange inside the panel.

I cut strips of cardstock from the same colors and layered the Postal cover Panel over it.

Die cut hearts are added to the center of the stamped panel. I cut the new Layered Lots of Love twice from white cardstock. One of the die cut sentiments is inked with the same inks as the background stamping and then layered on a second white die cut at a slight offset so that the words are easier to read.

The Layered Lots of Love die is a double die cut set - I did not use the outline background on this card - I use it again later this week so you can get a better look.

A few gems adds a little shine and a bit of color!
