Waffle Flower December Challenge

Are you looking for a challenge to play today? Check out the Waffle Flower Monthly Challenge! This month we're looking for Winter Cards. The long winter months can get a little depressing after the holidays are over. Staying indoors and shorter days can make life a little more difficult for some. Why not join us and make a winter card to cheer up someone you love? My Mom suffers from depression and I know a hand made card from me always makes her smile.

To keep the challenge interesting we're providing a "mini theme" every week to help jump start your creativity. It's just a different twist on the monthly theme - a way to share ideas for different ways to play along. I've got two friends joining me: Amy Tsuruta and Tracey Mc Neely. And we're challenging you to make a winter card for a COFFEE LOVER!!

My card starts with the largest Nesting Coffee Cup. I created a card base and then cut another large cup to cover the rough side of the card. I stamped the cup with Poinsettia florals and then partially colored them with Copic Markers.

I created a sleeve for the cup with red card stock and then added a circle stamped sentiment using the Coffee Cup Sentiments stamp set.

A script "celebrate" from the Sentiment Additions 2 stamp set is adhered in the center of the circle. The lid for the coffee cup is cut from white card stock and adhered with foam tape to add a little dimension.
