Picket Fence Slimline Word Topper Dies

Have you seen the new Picket Fence release? They've got two new Slimline Word Topper dies and a new More Word Topper Subtitles.  

I'm linking up to the Color Dare Challenge where they're looking for Bright and Bold Colors.

I really enjoyed playing with the new Lots of Blossoms stencils in this release. I inked the Slimline Lots of Blossoms in rainbow distress ink colors. I mean.. it's a birthday -it's got to be bright and colorful!

Next I added the Happy Birthday Slimline Word Topper to the card but it seemed to get lost on the busy stenciled background so I cut some circles - the first and largest from vellum so the pattern still peeks through and the other two that are smaller from solid cardstock.

I embellished the card with new flatback Pearls in three different colors to coordinate with the inky background they're glued to.

What's unique about the pearls is that they're not just one color - each little pearl is half one shade and half another. There are three size pearls in each pack and there are LOTS of shades to choose from.

My second card is made with the new Thanks Slimline Word Topper. Just because it's made for a slimline size card doesn't mean that you can't cut it down to fit an A2 size card.

I love color block stripes and thought this one would be fun in shades of pink, red and orange.

I backed each of the colored Slimline Thanks Word Toppers with a second one cut from white cardstock. The little bit of white peeking around the edges helps define the word dies making them easier to read.

I embellished this card with new pretty Pearls - these are from the Bright Pink and Coral pack. If you look close you'll see the different colors on each pearl.

These make quick cards and there are lots of possibilities!
