I thought I'd try something different this time.. playing with alcohol inks. I've worked with them before and they are beautiful, but lots of the time they look too dark and end up sticky to the touch in areas that are too concentrated with ink. I saw a technique a while back.. I can't remember who.. but she thinned down the alcohol ink with more alcohol. Another difference was the paper used - not the typical YUPO but Dura Lar - which is still plastic but its translucent like vellum - it's not solid.
I topped the alcohol panel with two Circle Leaf Shakers. This die is really nice because you can keep the leaf wreaths as is - like a lacy doily - or add backer leaves like I did here. The die set includes three solid leaves so you can cut them fast. You know I can't resist a rainbow.
I added a Sentiment Additions 2 through the center of the wreaths. I think it still looked a little unfinished so I added a Stitched Rectangle Frame along the outside of the card.
I'm linking up at Daring Cardmakers where this week they're looking for Circles - the challenge is called Go Round In Circles. I hope you find some time to play!
