Art Deco Thank You

I'm loving the new cover plates you'll find in the Summer Theatre section of the Poppystamps on line store. The deco look is elegant and artsy!

The cover panels are sized to cover an entire A2 card. For this card I used the Gilded Plate Cover Panel. I cut it from white card stock and layered it over a panel I inked with Distress Oxide ink in Blueprint Sketch, Salty Ocean, Peacock Feathers, Cracked Pistachio, and Twisted Citron. The creamy pigment inks blend beautifully and when used with cosmetic brushes look flawless. And if you do have a few hard lines, don't worry! A splash of water and some watered down ink cover any imperfections.

I topped the assembled panel with a the large Brilliant Ring from the three die set. The solid die creates a focal point, breaking up the busy intricate background, for an image or simple sentiment .

To add a little more interest I inked the Thank You Poe Sentiment with Distress Oxide ink to coordinate with the inky background. A few gold glitter enamel dots add some sparkle and shine.

I hope you'll try experimenting with different shades of distress ink to slide behind your pretty cover panels. It just doesn't get better than this!
