Today I'm playing along with the AAA Birthday challenge. June means FLOWERS and they're always my favorite to make with.
My card starts with an Outlined Butterflies Background. I turned mine into a shaker. I like the look of leaving some of the holes complete - it also helps support the card because I can sneak some foam tape under those areas.
The panel is topped with a Wrapped Bouquet floral arrangement. The sentiment is included in the set and if you purchase the coordinating die set, the sentiment die is in there too!
My florals are colored with Copic Markers and stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black. I like to color the petals in individual shades of color vs blending each flower. It gives a stained glass look to the blooms.
I hope you find some time to make. No matter what I've got going on, crafting is always a sweet escape.. whether it's doodling on a pad of paper or coloring. It's a great way to recharge and find the beauty in the simplest of things.Finished Size 4.25 x 5.5"
