Mom's first so I'm starting with a card for Mom made with the new SLIMLINE FLORALCOVER Die. I'm smitten with the pretty florals on this card! I wish you could see the sparkle and shine on this card in person!
I cut the die from white card stock with a piece of packing tape on the back. This makes it harder for the die to cut through the layers and keeps all the pieces in place. Next I colored the outlined images with markers - darker colors work better for this technique. Next I applied Nuvo Glimmer Paste mixed with Glossy Accents over the entire panel before topping it with another die cut.
Once it was finished I didn't want to cover the pretty panel so I added a die cut oval from the DECORATIVE TAG ONE with a vellum backing and topped it with a MOM/MOTHER SCRIPT sentiment.
This one is for the boys! You know I love die cuts! This one is called TOOL BACKGROUND - lots of possibilities here! My DH works with his hands so this one feels like it was made for him.
This time because the pieces are larger I did an inlay technique. First I cut the die from white card stock and then applied a sheet of Elizabeth Crafts double sided adhesive to the back of it.
It was easy to add all of the inlay pieces to the sticky tape in the openings of the cut out. When the panel was complete I peeled the protective tape covering the reverse of the double sided tape, and attached the completed panel to my card front.
