This gorgeous die is called the Moroccan Kaleidoscope Slimline. It's really a beautiful detailed die with a fabulous Moroccan screen background. I cut the first layer from white card stock. If you look close you'll see that the three center accents are SOLID white on this layer. I layered this panel over a color block panel I created from colorful card stock.
Here's where it gets really interesting.. when you cut the three center pieces.. they STACK! And the color combinations get really fun here. I kept each one monochrome on my card with the bottom layer being a light shade of color, the middle is a layer of gold foil, and the top layer is a darker shade of color.
To repeat the gold in the medallion centers I added a bronze foil GLIMMER sentiment from the More Sentiments pack. The Spellbinders Glimmer machine makes gold foiling EASY. Just heat the plate in the machine base, add your die, set the timer. When the timer turns green you add the foil color of your choice, your cardstock, and then run it through your die cut machine. When it comes out the other side you just peel off the foil.
The layers in this card are perfect for the Monday Challenge at Simon Says Stamp where this time they're looking for LAYERS! I hope you find some time to play along!
I like the gold peeking out, this is terrfic!
