Happy Easter! I hope you're enjoying a beautiful Spring Day. We're keeping things low key here - just my son coming over.. .so instead of a big ham dinner we're switching things up this year with Pulled Port. This will kick off our outdoor cooking season. Here in the Midwest any weather over 50 degrees F is perfect outdoor weather!
I'm playing along at As You Like It Challenge where they're asking what's your favorite Spring animal and why. While I love the return of the birds every spring - I miss their good morning singing in the winter months, while they are considered an animal.. animal always has me thinking of thinks with fur, so I'm going with rabbits. They're more visible this time of year and you can find them munching the new clover thats growing in the lawn. We usually find a nest in the flower garden and are always excited to see the babies when they get older. They're SO CUTE!
My card starts with images from Pretty Pink Posh Easter Bunnies stamp set arranged on a piece of plastic the size of my card front. I arrange everything until I'm happy and then I'm able to slip different colored inky panels underneath to help me decide which colors I like best. This time It's Spun Sugar and Shaded Lilac.
Some of the images are adhered flat to the card base while others are adhered with adhesive foam tape. This helps add dimension and depth to the scene.
