Happy New Year & Happy News!

Hello my crafty friends and HAPPY NEW YEAR! I know we all have big hopes for 2021 - and I'm wishing you all good health, prosperity and happiness! I've got some exciting news to share! The new Pretty Pink Posh January - June 2021 term Design Team has been announced today! And guess what? YES! I made the team!

I've been a fan of Pretty Pink Posh going way back.. remember when it was your go to place for colorful sequins? Today you'll find die cuts and stamp sets for every occasion as well as pretty embellishments including jewels, confetti and sequins (of course).

My card stared by arranging the Copic Colored Happy New Year Images on a piece of clear plastic the size of my card front. When I was happy with the arrangement I had to decide on a background. The sheet of plastic makes it easy to pick up the design and layer it over different backgrounds. I tried it over a stencil background, distress ink background and finally decided on a colorful striped background.

The Stacked Edges are always handy in my stash. Whenever I need one from the set of three borders, I cut them ALL and keep the extras for future projects. I taped them together on their reverse side and then cut them to fit my card front.

The Happy New Year Script die cut made the perfect sentiment to fit the space I had left at the top of the card. A sprinkle of gold sequins adds some sparkle and shine and BAM! IT's a party going on! :P
