Valentine's Day LOVE and A Sale!

Happy Valentine's Day! I hope you all have a wonderful day filled with sweet surprises! My DH surprised me with a 6-Drawer rolling cart that I found on Amazon. It matches the IKEA Alex drawers nicely in a shorter size (we left the wheels off). I ordered it and he put it together for me. The room I love most in the house is my craft space anything that helps me get it all together is wonderful.

Today I'm playing along at CASology where the cue card word this week is "Sweetheart". I know CAS is usually lots of white space.. and this card would have a bunch of it if I didn't so some stenciling with distress ink. 

It's smooth and flat - no layers here.. and was very simple to do.. so I'm calling it Clean and Simple here. I hope you agree! 

I started with a distress ink background in Spun Sugar and Shaded Lilac. Next I sprayed the Love Background Stencil with Pixie Spray (A MUST have if you love stencils - it's a light tack - re-positional adhesive that holds your stencils in place while you ink). I inked the outer edges with darker shades of ink in Wilted Violet and Picked Raspberry. 

I die cut the LOVE die in the stencil background and inserted gold glitter letters in the openings. The stamped and colored letters are adhered with adhesive foam tape slightly off center from the gold ones. For a little sparkle and shine I added a sprinkle of gold metallic jewels.
