I started this card by die cutting the pineapples and florals from the Pineapple Cut and Emboss die set from white card stock. Next I inked the flowers with distress ink using a cosmetic brush.
To color the pineapples I cut the die a second time from scrap paper. I cut the pineapple leaves from the fruit and used the scrap pieces as a mask. I put the die cut scrap pieces over the white card stock die cut to protect it from getting inked while I added colors.
The die cut set even includes a stitched sentiment banner. I inked mine the "Enjoy" sentiment from the So Sweet Stamp Set.
To finish things off I arranged all the elements on a card stock panel that I inked with yellow orange and pink distress ink. I added gems for the flower centers and a little sparkle and shine and little hearts adorn the sentiment (the heart is also included in the set).

ReplyDeleteI wonder if the stamp set is still available? I was just gifted the die set. I googled it for cards made with that set and your card came up. Its beautiful btw! I would like to case it if you dont mind. I don't know what kind of brush that is that you said you used on the inking. Is it available in stores now in 2023. Where can I purchase one? I have some new kind of brushes that are just like the new style makeup brushes. Stampin up sells them but I purchased mine at dollar tree. they are the exact style. I hope they will work for this. Im not so good at doing things like this. it always looks like a kindergartener did it. Ill give it a whirl. Thank you for posting your beautiful card.
