TupeloDesignsLLC - Geode

I hope you're having a great day! It's Friday and maybe you're counting down to the weekend too? I'm sharing a rainbow of cards I made with the Concord & 9th Geode stamp set with coordinating die that I got from my favorite store TupeloDesignsLLC. 

I have quite a few geodes in my home - some purchased at shoppes on vacation and other brought home discovered by my son on camping trips. They're really beautiful to look at - a real wonder of nature. 

I just couldn't resist after making the first one. I just had to see what each one would look like in a different color. I started by stamping the Geode with Versamark ink and then embossing it with Gold emboss powder. 

I colored in the layers with Copic markers and now for the fun part.. I poured a generous amount of Glossy Accents on the colored image and then used a piece of card stock to spread it around.. swiping it into a smooth layer. When it was dry I die cut the image. The glossy shine is like a layer of lacquer. 

I added more glossy accents around the detailed rings and poured on some chunky glitter. I wish you could see these in person - they really do look like jewels.

I mounted the geodes on color coordinated card stock. The sentiment was cut three times from white card stock, and once with gold card stock. All the layers were stacked together to make a thick chipboard like sentiment. 

I really love the rich look of the gold emboss, shine from Glossy Accents, and sparkly glitter together. This set is really a gem that you'll love creating with.
