I hope you're having a great day! Today I''m playing along with Muse Challenge #253. The inspiration is from my sweet friend Tracey McNeely at In My Creative Opinion Blog!
I love the distress background and the cute little bear with the heart behind his back.. like he's hiding a surprise! I was inspired by Tracey's glue green distress background! to make this card...
I inked up a background (Peacock Feathers and Sqeezed Lemonade) spritzed it with water, and then with a darker shade of distress ink (Salty Ocean), and some white ink.
Instead of the bear I inked up these Hummingbird Friends from Pretty Pink Posh! I wanted something similar to Tracey's - an animal - but still something different to keep it mine.
The sentiment is the new Hello Friend Script die. I cut the die three times from card stock and stacked them together so they're thick like chipboard. To "dot" the "i" I used a little sequin.
The hummingbirds are inked in Memento and colored with Copic Markers. I tries to pack in lots of bright colors.. I'm wishing for Spring!
These hummingbirds just make me HAPPY! I hope you're smiling too!
