Are you hopping with us? Chibitronics has paired up with CAS-ual Fridays for a blog hop featuring products from both companies! CAS-ual Fridays makes beautiful stamps and dies, and Chibitronics makes LED circuit stickers perfect for all your crafty projects! If you're hopping along you should have reached me from Kelly Griglione's blog! If you want to get all the details including the candy that's up for grabs you can do that here at the CAS-ual Fridays Blog!
It was lots of fun learning how to work with the lights and integrate them into my project! I hope you can see the row of lights behind the "Hooray" vellum panel.
I stamped the Hip Hip from the Bravo stamp set in a rainbow of colors on a piece of card stock. I did this the old fashioned way with pencil marked lines and a stamp a ma jig. The little flower's in between are from Sassy Smiles. I stamped with Memento Ink and used a marker to draw the squiggly lines between each line of stamping.
I stamped the HOORAY with Staz On ink on a vellum panel. The Chibitronic lights are underneath.
TIP: I didn't want the copper tape to show under the vellum panel - fortunately for me DH is an electrical wizard and told me it was ok to paint the tape with white acrylic paint. He was right.. it didn't affect the operation of the lights at all! Paint the tape AFTER you have completed your layout.. the stickers still need to touch the copper tape to work.
The finishing touch was a sprinkle of Fun Fetti topped with gems.
