Let Freedom Ring!

Just wanting to wish everyone a happy and safe 4th of July!  Our neighborhood is always bustling with a little mischief this time of year.   Fireworks are legal in Indiana so everyone has their hands on them.

It's not unusual for us to hear loud bangs and booms weeks ahead of the 4th.  I think Miss Moriko has been living between the bed and the dresser for the past few weeks.  She's always at my side and looking uncomfortable.
We always stay home of the 4th of July - there's enough excitement to see around the house to keep us entertained.  A good barbeque and a big pitcher of iced tea should make for the perfect day in!

My card today was made with the Simple Stories All American Collection 12" pack.  It comes with a sticker sheet perfect for embellishing.  I usually add a foam adhesive square to the back of the sticker and dust it with baby powder (or powder from my embossing buddy) before removing the sticky tab from the foam square and adhering the sticker to my project.

Some of the 12" sheets in the collection pack are journaling cards making them perfect for adding to an A2 size card.  Just about everything you need to make a pretty card is included in the collection.
The only items I added that weren't in the pack are twine, enamel dots, and a die cut border to help break up the patterned paper.

Happy Birthday America!
