What a great weekend we had! We celebrated Father's Day a little early because we were able to get the whole family together this weekend! We had baby back ribs, corn on the cob, roasted potatoes, broccoli, garlic bread and salad! I'm still feeling stuffed! We usually let Dad choose what's for dinner and this is one of his favorites.
I'm excited to share today that I'm staying on with the Pretty Pink Posh design team for another term! Paulina is the sweetest lady you'd ever want to meet - she's always very generous too! For this announcement she's giving away a 100 gift certificate to the store! All you have to do is leave her a comment with suggestions of products you'd like to see in the store! Today I'm playing with the Pretty Pink Posh Bold Blooms stamp set! I used a fun technique that's been around for a while, but I find so very beautiful!
I stamped the sentiment from the Thoughtful Greetings stamp set on a Scallop Circle Tag. Next I outlined the shape of the tag on a piece of card stock with a pencil. I stamped floral images from Bold Blooms around the circle to give the appearance they're peeking out from behind the tag.
I stamped the florals in memento ink and colored them with Copic Markers. Come of the stamped images have coordinating solid stamps. Those I stamped in a lighter shade of ink than the outline image.
To add more color I rubbed some distress in in Squeezed Lemonade around the outer edges of the stamped panel, softening the color as I got closer to the stamped florals.
