Tupelo Designs LLC - Flowers for Mom

Happy Friday!  I hope you're having a great day!  My mind is already on the weekend!  I'm having a house full for Mother's Day.  The plan is to have the boys do the cooking and let the girls relax! I hope the weather is nice so we can eat outside and watch the birds.

I put the Baltimore Oriole feeder out last week and already I'm getting some visitors.  Its such a treat to see these beautiful bright orange birds.  They seem so exotic since they're only around in the summer months here.   I know my folks will love seeing them! 

Today's card is a tribute to Mom.  I'm playing with lots of goodies from the Tupelo Designs LLC store.  My mom taught me how to cross stitch when I was young and one of my favorite patterns was always roses.  

These were much easier to stamp than to stitch!  LOL!   This is from the Waffle Flower Stitched Roses set.  I stamped all the images with Altenew Ink (you need three colors for each flower).  I fussy cut all the images.   I'll be honest.. these are not the easiest stamps to line up... just like sewing the x's really need to mach up perfectly to look right.  I used a Stamp A  Ma Jig Tool for mine.  The directions on the stamps also tell you what shade (light medium or dark) on stamp A, B or C.  I followed the directions on the lighter (larger) rose, and did the reverse on the smaller one. 

I love the coordinated floss bobbins die cut set - they pull the theme together.  I stamped "With Love" on the medium bobbin. 

For a more feminine look I added a fancy die cut lace doily behind the bobbin.  The papers are also from Tupelo Designs LLC store - this is the Kaisercraft Secret Garden collection. 

I know this one is going to make my mom smile BIG!
