This card features the new balloons reverse die - you can use the negative to create a great background, or use the die cut balloons and confetti on another project. It's a great way to make the most of your supplies!
I cut several 3/4" strips of colored card stock and then pieced them together to create a colorful background for my die cut balloons!
For my second card I created a collage of wonderful birthday elements! I double cut the "Happy" word die to give it a little more pop against the white background.
I'm still addicted to the wood look sequins at Serendipity! Because they are neutral they mix and match beautifully with colored sequins! The cupcake and candle die look great cut from gold foil. Do you like the word background? That's the 50% off Stamp of the Month for January. It's called "Party Background" and you can find it here!
The stitched scalloped circle is from the Bandanna die. Several of the pieces that make up the intricate square die cut completely so you can use all, or some of the parts from it.
I inlaid the frosting on the cupcake so it lays nice and flat. To keep it together I added strips of tape on the back of the die.
After I stamped the party background I added splatter of ink for color. I used Angel Pink Distress Ink, added a little bit of water and then flicked it across my card stock.
