Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you... Happy Birthday Dear Fusion Card Challenge....
Like What? Yep! It's our 2nd Birthday at Fusion Card Challenge! We're celebrating with this challenge photo and a few surprises too! Each of the Design Team Members has asked a special guest to play along this time!
So do you like the photo? What draws your eye? That chevron table runner in yellow and white? Maybe the pretty flowers in different shades of pink. Photo not your thing? Play along with the sketch! Feeling clever then play along with BOTH.
Here's my take on the challenge.. and a zooomed in closer inspection of what I did here. The background for my card is completely flat - everything is inlaid! I wish you could run your finger across it and see how flat it is.
I started by creating the inlaid white and yellow background. Once everything was taped up on the back I cut the flowers out from the pieced panel. That was all very carefully put back together in different shades of pinks to replicate the flowers in the design.
For the finishing touch I added a stamped cupcake with two candles (it's our second birthday of course). The sugary sprinkles were added with glossy accents and a sprinkle of iridescent glitter.
And my very special guestie that I invited to the party? My very good friend Marybeth Lopez! I love Marybeth's style - always clean and elegant! Here's a peek at her project... but if you want to see more you will have to visit her blog - Marybeth's Time For Paper!
