I hope you're having a great day! We've been busy like everybody else getting the house ready for the holidays.. digging out the ornaments and shopping. My favorite part of the day is sitting down for a little quiet time and making something. I find it so relaxing.
A new challenge begins today at Serendipity Stamps Challenge Blog. This time it's tags ! I know everyone is busy with the kids off from school or home from college, so this challenge is particularly welcome to me right now. Tags are usually quick and easy to put together - even when they're fussy and have lots of layers like mine. There's also another plus this time of year... lots of gifts need a little dressing up - so why not join us! You just might win a $20 gift certificate from Serendipity Stamps.
I baked.. I mean.. stamped some cupcakes - chocolate of course, topped with yummy buttercream frosting, sugared up with glitter. The Birthday is from a "Happy Birthday" stamp. I only wanted to use the word "birthday" so I taped off the "Happy" portion, inked the stamp, removed the tape and stamped. Easy peasy right? This bitty sentiment was the perfect size for this little flag that I attached with a heart pin.
Mini grab bags are back! They're listed at the top of the $1 sale page. 5 cling stamps / $1, 5 sticky cushion stamps / $1 or 10 unmounted stamps / $1. Click here.

I double cut the "Happy" word die in two shades of pink - the lighter shade was disappearing into the background paper, and the darker shade was too harsh. One stacked on top of the other looks just right. I stuck a button underneath the die cut word to add a little support to the intricate die cut hanging in the air off those cupcakes.
The background was created by taping three patterns of paper together, adhering them to cardstock for support, and then die cutting the tag shape.
Want to go shopping? The cupcake stamp I used today is the 50% off December stamp of the month!
