It's the last day of the month! You know what that means right? Time for the 12 Kits of Occassions! The 12 Kits is a group of friends who are all card designers. We each take turns providing the group with a "kit" of goodies.. pattern paper, stamped images, die cuts, etc. On the last day of the month we all share what we made with the kit. It's fun to see how we did things the same or different. This time the theme is "Song of the South". Think all things home made from the kitchen. Throw in a little gingham, and farm fresh inspiration and I know you're on board! Our hostess this month is Marybeth Lopez from Marybeth's Time For Paper. I love Marybeth's style - you say her name and I'm thinking, elegant... delicate die cuts, glossy accents, and YES! a sprinkle of shiny sequins! More than that, Marybeth is my friend - and has brought me smiles and comfort more times than I can count.
OK.. a little business before we get started... you can check out the 12 Kits of Occasions blog here. t has a complete list of all the designers as well as an ingredient list of all the items that were included in this kit. Go ahead, click on it NOW and leave a comment. One person who leaves a comment there will win the May kit and get to join us when it's my turn to supply the goodies!
Now for fun! I made four cards with this kit and there is so much more left over! Thank you Marybeth for this amazing kit! I can't wait to case my favorites! I always say there is some element that I'm not sure what to do with . This time for me it was the sunburst and cloud cutouts - look for them when you're hopping around.
We have a special guest too this month! Renee Lynch from It's a Patchwork Life. Renee is the originator of the 12 Kits group and it's so good to see her back in action this month!

But am glad I saved the little chef and other little goodies Marybeth included...
always a method to my madness...whether intentional or not. *giggle*
Jeanne a fabulous collection of cards, you thought of things I would have never thought of and the results are gorgeous. Love how you used both sizes of jars and that pink doily. I have seen you use that before--I need that die! What's cooking is so fun!
ReplyDeleteJeanne...love them all, each and everyone of them! I almost feel like I need another kit to be able to case all of your amazing cards. Your sweet cupcake card is my favorite, love the pink and those wonderful little roses, so sweet and feminine.
ReplyDeleteJeanne, I always love your cards and these are no exception. Just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteJeanne, you are incredible! Absolutely incredible! I cannot believe you made so many fabulous cards, especially since you had such a short amount of time to make them. I am so in awe of how you combine things. I think my favorite has to be the darling cupcake stand card. I totally forgot that was in the kit, and I love how just adding the pink totally changed the feel of all the items in the kit. The little banner on the cupcake is too cute.
ReplyDeleteOh, I knew your designs would be wonderful and they definitely are!! I'm always amazed with the layering and your perfect placement of elements. You did wonders with the country theme! And your cupcake card is so pretty. I still have my cupcakes--and a die given to me by a very dear friend :) so I'm ready to CASE that one!
ReplyDeleteReally enjoying visiting each of you lovely ladies and marvelling at what you have done with this AMAZING kit. I really like all of your cards, but that mason jar one keeps popping to the front of my mind! Love how you layer and create. So talented!!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous cards one and all Jeanne!!!! Always so fun to see what everyone creates with the kits! I love the rooster card with the gingham! It speaks to my country-lovin heart!!
ReplyDeleteAll favorites, Jeanne! Love the cherry on the jars card! Beautiful sweet details on the cupcake card, adore that chef, and roosters win the day anywhere I see them! Beautiful pairings of dps and warm country elements!
ReplyDeleteJeanne you captured the country in these cards for sure and you first card is amazing, I keep going back to see how you layered everything. Love the card with the doily and I was happy to see you use the jars.
ReplyDeleteThank you for such sweet words. Sorry it took so long for the mail to get to you.
Fantastic collection of cards, Jeanne. I smiled when I saw we did almost the same thing with that chubby chef. Really love your cupcake and how you put it on a doily and colored it in such a subtle way.
ReplyDeleteI am going to bring out that rooster I saved and case your card right away! Love that one...of course the chef card is at the top of my list too...you always amaze me with your creativity and use of embellishments...the twine around the jelly jar...so smart and I wish I had thought of it!
ReplyDeleteAll lovely cards...I especially like the rooster card!
