November is a very thankful month for me. I was born in November, married in November, Both of my kids were born in November. You get the picture.
I chose a clover for my design today because sometimes I just feel so darn lucky. Serendipity Stamps was my very first DT and yes, I was asked in November.
I copied this from Wikipedia - a brief definition of Serendipity.
Serendipity means a "fortunate happenstance" or "pleasant surprise". It was coined by Horace Walpole in 1754. In a letter he wrote to a friend Walpole explained an unexpected discovery he had made by reference to a Persian fairy tale, The Three Princes of Serendip. The princes, he told his correspondent, were “always making discoveries, by accidents and sagacity, of things which they were not in quest of”.
I'm thankful for Serendipity.. for things I'm not in search of that seem to find and delight me.

Jeanne - I loved your story about the Princes of Serendip! Your clover is beautiful - an exact replica of a large one that popped up in the middle of my zinnias this fall - a pretty new fresh pink flower amongst the fading ones.
ReplyDeleteNot too cheesy at all, sounds beautifully grateful to me. Love this lovely layered card Jeanne. Happy to see you use this AG patterned paper absolute beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI guess November is your extra busy month... enjoy!
Beautiful card Jeanne and I loved reading your post. I had no clue how special this month is to you...just so sweet.
ReplyDeleteI don't think Serendipity stamps could have a better or more talented designer than you, Jeanne! Your happy style is a delight with every visit, and this is no exception! Bright, sweetly pink, with that gorgeous sentiment! And if it's not too cheesy of me to keep saying, LOVE every layer!
ReplyDeletePS, we have 3 birthdays in November!
I had no idea that so many wonderful things happened to you in November. Perhaps sometime, you should visit San Diego in November, as we always have good weather here then. Your card is stunning, as always.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card, Jeanne! The colors are wonderful and I love the papers, lace & embellishments. I've always loved the word 'serendipity'. A group I belonged to gave the name to their annual sale and it seemed like such a great choice. Sending you belated birthday hugs! I'm getting worse & worse about keeping up with friends :(! Hope your day was wonderful!!!
ReplyDeleteDo I sound redundant to you yet? I'm sure I sound like a chatty doll that incessantly vomits words of praise and admiration for you and your work. Well I'm sorry, but you're just that amazing.
ReplyDeleteYour work blows my mind. Thank you so much for inviting me. I am having a blast. :)
Big hugs to you Jeanne.
