We're at the half way point for this month's challenge at
Serendipity Stamps Challenge Blog. We start the challenge on the first Wednesday of every month, and then post a second time at the half way point. So there is still plenty of time to play. This time the challenge is "Thankful". This could be a Thanksgiving card, Thank You card, or a card for or about something you are thankful for. Autumn is my favorite time of year. It always makes me sentimental about all the things I am thankful for. My birthday, anniversary, the birth of my children, all took place in November. Serendipity was my first design team appointment - also in November. I'm grateful for all my blessings and the wonderful things I've been able to experience. Life is good!

Mary (the owner of Serendipity) likes to give the design team an extra challenge when we're making our samples for the challenges. This time we were asked to "repurpose" something. I won't even begin to tell you all the trouble that gave me. Where to begin? It just seemed so "open ended" to me. SO many different household items to choose from. I thought about coffee filters, cupcake liners, aluminum foil, bubble wrap, canning jar lids. ...
You know I'm addicted to color, so while at the hardware store this weekend trying to find some varnish I wound up in the paint department and all these pretty paint samples jumped at me. Special thanks to Dutch Boy! They have lots of pretty colors to choose from!!
Do I have you curious now about what the rest of the ladies used? You're going to have to pay them a visit to figure it out.
Our special guest this month is - my very sweet friend Lisa Minckler from You Made Me Ink! Lisa is the QUEEN of repurposing things in the most wonderful and unexpected ways! She always amazes me!! I hope you'll stop by and tell her hi!
