It's the last day of the Waltzingmouse Christmas event! This release is a little different because the new items are in the store early. This gives you more time to work with them to make your holiday projects. We're showing projects made with all the Waltzingmouse holiday stamps - old and new! Over the past few days we've shown cards, tags, and today our focus is decorations!
My daughter brought home about a dozen of these cute little poinsettias that she wants to give to her friends and co workers. Being her crafty mom I made it clear that she need to "dress them up" a bit. I made these rosettes by cutting a 12 x 2" length of pattern paper. I border punched the edge and scored lines every 1/4 inch. I zig zag folded the strip attaching the two ends to form a circle and then hot glued the centers to hold them securely. The stick is a wooden kitchen skewer that I wrapped in twine.

ReplyDeleteYou even wrapped the skewer in twine? Wow, you are such a great mom! Such a cute idea and I love that twine idea. What a way to jazz up a poinsettia plant and make it super special to give. Great project today!

ReplyDeleteToo cute, and the stick deco stays around for next year! (haven't had much luck keeping the poinsettia alive past Feb.!) Love this idea!
ReplyDeleteHeee! I can so relate about the "dressing up a bit." :) Eva and Claire may try to pick cards for their teachers out of my stash and I am like "THAT DOESN'T MATCH THE GIFT BAG"!! :) Then the look at the little flimsy ones that come attached and say "We could write her name on this." GASSSSSP! These are so awesome, love Santa on the medallions!
