Twice a month Serendipity Stamps hosts a blog challenge. This time its to add a butterfly to your design. It doesn't have to be a stamp - a die cut, pattern paper, or embellishment works just fine. Link up your design at the Serendipity Stamps Challenge Blog for a chance to win $20 off your next order! The sale this week is buy 3, Get a 4th One Free, good through 8/14. And there are still lots of wood-mounted stamps on sale! You can go shopping here.
I colored up this coneflower image in copic markers. I double cut the butterfly attaching it with foam adhesive on one side, and sticking the other side down flush with the original so it looks more like a wing. I fussy cut the image and layered it on top of some pattern paper die cuts. A little velvet ribbon added some texture and richness to the card - and since I couldn't find a place to add a pretty bow or gems I added a little button for some eye candy! (That's my story and I'm sticking to it!)
