Did you hear? Paper Sweeties is the sponsor of this week's 10 Minute Craft Dash! So of course I thought I would give this a try! I'm new to the 10 Minute Craft Dash and I will tell you at first the prospect of making a card in 10 minutes seemed really daunting to me. I usually like to take my time - like putting together a puzzle and think over each little piece I add. Once I got started though, I have to tell you I thought it was lots of fun!
I was thinking I'd have to do CAS, but that doesn't come so quick to me so I thought I'd see how quick I could make a layered card. I kept my accents to a minimum and the only tools I used were my paper cutter and a corner rounder. I used one pad of 6x6 pattern paper and one ink pad. I stamped the sentiment on the pattern paper to stream line it even more. The thing that took the longest amount of time for me was peeling the backs off the bitty foam adhesive squares to add some dimension.
This was a really fun challenge and it proved to me that you really can do something if you set your mind to it - and I am really happy with how my card turned out. It still has all the layers that I love and even a little bling. I hope you will give it a try, and if you are already a fan I hope I will see you there!!

Super adorable, Jeanne! What a lovely 10 minute card!!! Thanks for spotlighting the Paper Sweeties stamps so beautifully!
ReplyDeleteSuch a wonderful card and in less than 10 minutes. I am a very slow crafter.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous card. You packed a lot into your 10 minutes, that is for sure. I have also found that the most time consuming parts of my 10 minute dash cards is the dimensional adhesive. So, flat cards for me from now on!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful flower Jeanne, love that gorgeous centrepiece and how you've matched all your colours! Hugs, Ira x

ReplyDeleteYAY!!!
ReplyDeleteDid you pass out or have heart palpitations?
I'm pretty sure I came close...
such an adrenaline rush!
I'm giving it a go again though! :)
And what a fabulous 10 minute card...
and still so YOU!! :)
Hope a package arrived for you today...sent it Monday!
Great job! The perfectionist in me struggles when I'm "under the clock"!
ReplyDeleteLove it" Joyce is right ...you sure put a lot into this 10 min. Love the stamped tree and polka dots.
ReplyDeleteFabulous, Jeanne! You've very brave to do a dimensional card! I still haven't tried this. Seems I take forever placing each element on my cards so I figure I would sadly fail the 10 minute limit!!
ReplyDeleteI can hardly imagine you making a ten minute card...but wow, you really did it! I love the simple color choices and that fabulous stamped focal point. You even added a little bit of twine...what? No bow? I do sede you shaded the edges though, so it is not a CAS card, well done!
ReplyDeleteOh, this turned out just ever so sweet! I have the hardest time with this challenge, but girl, you've totally knocked it out of the park!
ReplyDeleteI like your combo of the DSP paper and the polka dots. And the blue flower in the center give a great center focus. Thanks for the inspiration for the 10 min challenge.
