That doesn't mean you have to be C&S to do this challenge - that's the beauty of CASE! Study the inspiration photo and run with whatever grabs you! Maybe it's the colors, the die cuts, the butterflies, or how about those colorful inky spots? For me it is C&S envy. This is a style that has always put me on edge - it's so hard for me to embrace the clean negative space on the design - so that is what I focused on here. I mean how cool are those die cuts and yes... I admit even those colorful inky spots .
I decided to make a St. Patrick's Day card - maybe it's living so near Chicago and hearing about the river being dyed green this weekend - or could it be all that green fans were wearing with their Black Hawks gear at the game this past weekend? I had to play around with the spots - of course I could have searched Julies blog - but thought it would be good experience for me to play with some of my own goodies and see what they can do.... Mister NO too controlled, Copics NO - can't achieve the different size spots effectively.... so what did I do? I used my water brush of course. Just a little more squeeze makes the dot a little bigger. Using more or less watercolor paint changed the shade of the greens from light to dark. When I was done I used my embossing heat tool to dry them up - worked like a charm! (How Punny!!)
