Happy Saturday! No big plans for me for the weekend. We are doing some projects around the house thanks to my binkie - short for stinker binker my 7 month old Akita. She discovered a loose piece of wallpaper on our stairway and decided the wall would look better without it. Gotta say she keeps life interesting and is way more trouble than I ever anticipated. I bought her a child's spiderweb cape for Halloween - I had to return the more appropriate devil costume I originally purchased because it was too small. (YES they sell costumes for dogs!!) She is about 80 lbs. now.
Are you ready for the for the new Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge. The design this week is by my friend, and Mischief Maker, Renee Lynch from It's a Patchwork Life. Well what's not to love about this one? What a great way to show off your favorite Waltzingmouse Stamps set - Front and center! I saw the design and immediately thought of an ornament. I stamped it purple ink and cut an oval in the center to add dimension and lay over the sentiment which is a double stamp with a star burst pattern in lighter purple. I topped it all off with a big red and white striped bow with some fun colored jingle bells. Who says red and purple don't go together?
Thanks for having a look - I hope you have a great week with lots of time to create!
Jeanne

ReplyDeleteJust love this. I have always been a believer of red and purple together - my 3 bridesmaids (way back when) were proof - red, fuschia and violet raw silk dresses they wore.
ReplyDeleteYour purple bauble is absolutely wonderful with the most magnificent bow! Love the little jingle bells too!
ReplyDeleteJeanne your ornament card is just stunning. That gorgeous red and white bow and the purple ornament is so lovely. I love how you cut out the inside of the ornament, so creative.
ReplyDeleteOh man, Jeanne, is sounds like you've got a "fun" weekend ahead of you after Binkie's little "trick" ;) At first my dogs did some crazy stuff, too. Ate through computer cords, ripped out the shades, etc. Now they're pretty good. Anyway, this card is great! I love the big purple ornament and the red sheet music behind :)
ReplyDeleteHow many times have I said, "This is so pretty!" when I comment on your cards Jeanne...1,000? Pretty close I imagine, but..."This is so pretty!" I love the purple and red, the music patterned paper, that beautiful bow...I REALLY love that edge punch you used, goes perfectly with Renees sketch.
ReplyDeleteSo gorgeous! How did you make that fabulous bow?
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! I love that large striped bow and your choice stamp . Love the edge die and music paper. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteSuch a gorgeous card. I love the bow (of course), and that sheet music peeking out from behind. Just so festive.
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous! Love the red and purple together, too. And that bow! I have bow envy every time with you! So lovely :)

ReplyDeleteHow super cool that your pup in an interior decorator too....dang, you get all the luck!!! LOL ;)
Oh my gorgeousness, Jeanne, this is incredible! Such a striking color combo and so very elegant! Sorry to hear your pup has been a bit naughty. Good thing they're cute, right?
ReplyDeleteOh my this is so striking! I just love this gorgeous color combo!!!!
ReplyDeleteI have some ribbon so maybe I can case it as I just cut a bunch of these ornaments out last night on my die cut machine for tags for Christmas gifts. It is just so beautiful!
As I said you DO purple fabulously! I adore red! Love the big bow....partial to them myself!! Fabulous! Tell binkie to behave, I'm sure that will work :))
ReplyDeleteOMG, the colors are STUNNING! The purple ornament is such a gorgeous centerpiece with that WOW bow. And I love the border punch you used and the colored bells. Binkie will grow up! Our youngest pup loved cloth so you could only imagine how many things had chewed edges. Now he can stay in the house when we're gone and never touch a thing. So there is hope!!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card, Jeanne! Love the ornament and the beautiful bow! Fab work! Hugs
ReplyDeleteAnother colour combo I just wouldn't think of Jeanne and they go perfectly together! Whenever I see your cards I think you must have gone to 'ribbon tying school'...mine never look like that!
