I don't normally finish the inside of a card. I usually write a hand written message on the inside. I know my mom would prefer to just sign her name so I finished off the inside for her. I almost re stamped the bubbles for a cleaner look, but I decided the distressed had a little edgier feel. Here's what it looks like. Thanks for having a peek! Have a beautiful day.
Supplies Used: Finished Size 5" x 7"
Stamps: Waltzingmouse Free Spirit Sentiments, Free Spirit Boy
Ink: Momento Nautical Blue, Stampin Up Sahara Sand
Twinery Stone Twine, 3/8" Pewter Grosgrain
Paper: Papertrey Ink Stampers Select White, Enchanted Evening
Die: Spellbinder Standard Circles
Completely edgy and new age. I really dig the design of this and the fact that you matched the inside up too. It's a FANTASTIC card Jeanne. :) Congrats to the grad!
ReplyDeleteTell your son it looks like he was a great help, because I think this is just perfect , for a young man. Great idea to get the logo from word. I think its so sweet that your mom asked you to make her card rather than buy one herself. Wonderful card Jeanne. I am not implying you need much help, though :)
ReplyDeleteLove this Jeanne! Thanks for you recent visits and super sweet comments on my projects. I disappeared for a while, but I have been peeking at your blog to see what you are up to. Congrats on your design team spots! I'm sure you do them proud!

This is totally great for a young man...that free spirit set is very modern looking. I like how you created the school logo and incorporated it into the free spirit design. It was so thoughtful of you to finish the inside for your mom. Great card!
ReplyDeleteThis is my all time favourite set from Claire. It's absolutely perfect for a young man - I really like the way you've included the school logo in the circle too. I really like these colours!
ReplyDeleteWow--what a fun and masculine card. I've never seen this stamp set. It does embody what I think of as 'young man' How exciting to be graduating from college and just starting out. Super job on the inside, too.
ReplyDeleteOMG, your card is just awesome! It's the perfect design for a young man. Cards like that are so difficult, at least for me, and you did a super job! Incorporating the school logo in your design was such a cool idea. Love the look of the whole card!
ReplyDeleteWow, that is one awesome graduation card! I love the fact that you also put the emblem from the University...it looks so professional!
ReplyDeleteJeanne this is absolutely perfect for a young graduate - bet he doesn't get another one like this! It's so wonderful the way you used these gorgeous stamps and then adding the navy & pewter and the School logo - your son got it absolutely spot on & so did you my lovely, modern classic I'd say!
ReplyDeleteThis is great for a graduation card, co clean and crisp!
