A Kept Life - May - Blogversary

Can you believe it is May already?  Summer will be here before you know it!   For now Spring is still in the air - still too early to get the garden in, but still lots of yard work to do!

I just got these great oval month stamps from Serendipity.   This set comes in two different sizes and features festive adornments that are beautiful reminders of why each month is special.  I'm working with the larger set which are 3 5/8" wide.  I plan to make a card and post it on the first of every month.  When I've worked my way through the entire set next April I will offer the entire set of card I've made as blog candy.  These stamps would be great for scrap booking, making your own calendar, or sending birthday greetings to someone on their special month.
May features a sweet bird making music on the bough of a tree.  I thought he was so sweet that I extended the scene outside of the frame by adding branches, leaves, and some cherry blossoms.  Do you see the sun coming up in the background?  I died the Cherry Blossoms by spritzing with a mix of rubbing alcohol, Ranger Spun Sugar and some Perfect Pearls Blush pigment powder.

May has another sweet meaning for me - it is the anniversary of my blog.  Yep!  I started one year ago this month.  I remember going on line to order some stamps that I saw in a magazine.  I wanted to see some examples of how to use the stamps and ran across my very first blog hop!  I was amazed by all the talented designers and their fabulous creations and was immediately hooked!  I am so thankful for the friends I've made on line - someone to share my interests with and to help me grow.  Thank you for your patience answering my questions, happily encouraging me, and just being there when I need a smile!  To celebrate I've put together some of my favorite things to give away.  One random winner will be selected from all the comments made this month - so leave a comment!

Thanks again and have a beautiful day!

Jeanne
