Ready for another great Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge? I immediately started thinking Christmas when I saw this design. Maybe subconsciously I wanted to use some of the new Spellbinders I just got in the mail and this was the perfect opportunity. For that great holly background I cut out a circular design from the Holly Motifs collection and simply cut it in half to extend it around my main image. The nutcracker is on the Spellbinders Labels 20 die cut - I hand cut the red border behind it.
My son thought this was a great masculine card - apparently he thinks I've been making too many cards for the ladies lately. I told him it would be perfect if I could just stick a big shiny ribbon bow on it somewhere ;)!! Just kidding! It still has some of the bling elements that I'm so addicted to - the gold embossed nutcracker and sentiment, the red pearls, and the gold beads so I can't complain. I hope you like it and that you're playing along this week!
