Thank You From The Depths of My Heart

Are you looking for an underwater adventure? Then look no further! Pink & Main has everything you need to create your own coral reef complete with ocean critters and glittery air bubbles. The latest release also includes aquarium die sets as well as a bag die to transport your tropical fish home!

I always start my projects the same way - I arrange images on a piece of clear plastic the same size as my card base. This gives me the opportunity to get a preview of the card before I adhere all the pieces in place. I cut out the sea floor, coral seaweed and rocks with the Coral Reef dies set. A brush of Distress Ink along the border edges adds depth and dimension.

I like to cut images with at least two shades of the same color family to add shadows. A good example on this card would be the green seaweed, the red coral, and the rocks. The color variation defines the images.

I added a die cut shark from the Ocean Animals die set. A silly eye adds a little whimsy to the design. I think he'd look great on a wobbler too! Once I'm happy with the design it's easy to slip a background underneath to determine what color would be best. You can use patterned paper, a distress background or an alcohol ink panel like mine here. I used Staz On ink to add a sentiment to the inky panel.

Stenciled Stacking Cake

Today I've got a fun card for you made with supplies from Waffle Flower. It's a great big yummy Birthday Cake! I'm playing along at Crazy is our Fame Stencils are our Game challenge where as always they are looking for designs with stencils - birthday is the optional topping.

I started by making the die cut Stacked Cake. The confetti in rainbow colors is stenciled on with the coordinating stencil set. I used small brushes to ink each of the little sprinkles in a different shade.

The background is a Distress Oxide rainbow pastel that I foiled with the Splatters hot foil plate. I cut the panel with an A2 Lacy Layers die which is a must have die for me because it's great for layering and the stitched detail makes a big difference on my designs.

The little pink candles are inked with alcohol makers to add the "flames".

The finishing touch is a preprinted die cut "labelmaker" type sentiment from Waffle Flowers "subsentiment" series. This is the "birthday" set.

Hi and thanks for stopping by! I hope you're enjoying your day! It's been raining here which gives me more time to make! I don't know about you but summer days tempt me to stay outside and not a whole lot gets done! LOL!

Today I'm playing along at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge where this is the sketch challenge this week.

I decided to switch out the florals for some Baby Basics from Pretty Pink Posh. I had a big gap in my crafty stash in the baby department. These stamps are perfect for cute cheery cards for baby.

The little "onesie" comes with a stamp so you can add stripes or leave it plain. You can also add a little moon, heart, or star to it. I love the sweet bear, pin, rattle bottle and pacifier too!

I used the Stacked Edges 2 die to create a quilt look background in shades of blue green and yellow. I actually have two sets of these dies so I can cut more than one at a time. I always cut extras and keep them in an envelope so I can grab and make when the mood hits.

Strawberry Sweet Friend

Today I'm playing at the Alphabet Challenge where this time F is for FRUIT! I thought these yummy strawberries would be just the ticket!

My strawberries were made with the Waffle Flower Multiple Strawberries Die N Stencil set. First you ink the strawberries and then cut them with the coordinating die. This set allows you to ink FOUR different strawberries all at the same time, and the die cuts them all too!
  

A nested tag creates a focal point for the Sweet Plates that I loaded with strawberries. The stencil set does not include foliage so I added them from the Strawberries die set.

The sentiment is from the Sweet Plates Sentiment set. The background is created with the Strawberries Stencil die topped with a strip of paper that I embossed with the Sweet Plaid texture die.

Something sparkly is always the finishing touch for me. I added some Candy Dots to this one in a shade of pretty pink to match the background paper.

Once Upon A Time

Hi friends! Today I'm sharing a card made with the latest paper collection from Pretty Little Studio called "Well Read". This collection is library themed with all things book worthy like stacks of books, comfy chairs, and all the accoutrements like your favorite cuppa, furry friend potted plants and more.

The collection also has an awesome set of flower dies and collection of sentiments. I decided to document a romance on this card that I think would be perfect for a wedding event.

A woodgrain "Book Addict Frame" lets the sentiment do all the talking. I added a "romance" tab along the right edge of the frame and embellished it with pretty flowers. The flowers are adhered with adhesive foam tape to add some dimension to the design.

The finishing touch was a sprinkle of sequins for some added sparkle and shine for the special day. My "something blue" for the event.
