Autumn Elf

Hi Friends! I hope you're having a great day! I wanted to start my post to remind you to join the Poppystamps monthly challenge. This month our theme is "Leaves are Falling - Autumn is Calling". Die cuts will always be my favorite! And one of my favorite things is multi-purposing so I can get the most out of the supplies I have. Today I'm playing with the Nordic Joyful Elf who is intended for Christmas. Simply by changing the colors and setting he's now an Autumn Elf!

 

My cards usually start the same way. I arrange the images on apiece of plastic the same size as my card base. The clear plastic allows me to arrange before committing and adhering things in place. The clear plastic lets me slide different backgrounds underneath so I can decide what colors I like best.

My elf is standing on Forest Stump and is having fun in the forest on a perfect fall day. Nordic Oak and Nordic Maple Leaves are scattered about as well as some mushrooms and Mini Forest Plants foliage.

The background was created by blending Distress Oxide ink. It's a creamy pigment ink that blends easier than dye ink. A preprinted sentiment from Memory Box in gold foil finishes the design.

Cozy Penguins Sneak Peek

I hope you're enjoying the sneak peeks of the latest Pink & Main that will be released this Friday, November 22 when we'll be celebrating with a blog hop and some giveaways! Today I'm excited to share a peek at the new Cozy Penguins stamp set and coordinating dies.

This set includes several adorable penguins that are perfect for indoor and / or outdoor scenes! It's all about being comfy cozy with your favorite cuppa to keep you warm. I love the little cups of cocoa complete with marshmallows floating on top!

The set even includes a few punny sentiments that will have you smiling! I colored the clean line images with alcohol markers, but they will look great with your favorite media of choice.

Do you love those background papers? They're from a new pack called Cozy Winter. The sheets are 8.5 x 5.5" so you can cover two A2 cards with each sheet. They're perfectly coordinated to mix and match and look great together! A few Galaxy Sticky Gems add some sparkle to this design!

Autumn Sunflowers

Gosh I'm missing my flower garden about now! And the color of the sky? Ugh.. Grey! Today is cold and rainy and my mind is taking a detour to a field of sunny yellow flowers and bees buzzing!

This card is so fund and easy to make. The flowers are actually a cutout die the size of an A2 card. And guess what? You color it with a stencil! So just cut the large die from white cardstock and then ink it with the coordinating stencil set and your just about done!

I layered my flowers over a Quilted Texture background die in soft blue. I added a slightly darker blue matt of cardstock under that. I like the texture that adds lots of depth. The flowers are adhered with adhesive foam tape so they're popped up off the blue panel.

An Oversized Autumn word die takes center stage and is paired with a Subsentiments pre printed die cut labelmaker type sentiment.

Today demonstrates my favorite part of crafting. When life throws me inclement weather I can go anywhere I like. I just need to imagine it! Hugs!

Fall Icons

Today I'm playing along at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge where this time they're looking for Thanksgiving. I'm sharing a card I made with Pretty Pink Posh Fall Icons.

The Fall Icons stamp set includes 12 fabulous images that will have you thinking of all your fall favorites. Pumpkins, apples, gourds and rainbow corn have me thinking of trips to the local farm stand.

Colorful leaves, acorns, sunflowers and mushrooms are a walk in the woods! And of course it wouldn’t be Fall without Thanksgiving with that cute little turkey!

The Fall Icons coordinating die set includes three circle dies perfect for stacking with the stamped images to add more color and layers to your designs.

You Make My World Brighter

The days are getting shorter and the temperatures are dropping but there's still lots to be thankful for! Thanksgiving is just around the corner and I hope you're making plans to be with family and / or friends and that life is good!

Today I'm sharing a card made with the Pretty Little Studio You Are My Sunshine Collection. The title of the collection says it all! Beautiful flowers, bright bold color and positive inspirational messages. This collection really is sunshine on paper!

My card started with that label with the printed sentiment from the 100% Sunshine Word die cut pack. I added some faux stitching clear stickers and layered it over a journaling card.

Then I embellished it with flowers in shades of yellow for a monochromatic design. The flowers are so pretty even the bees can't resist. They're adhered with adhesive foam tape so they pop up. The honey comb paper coordinates with them beautifully.
